Der Autor und Heilpraktiker Detlef Mix lebt und arbeitet in St. Blasien im Südschwarzwald. Als Mitglied im Deutschen Apitherapie-Bund sowie mit seinen Büchern "Die Heilkraft des Honigs" und "Manuka-Honig - Ein Naturprodukt mit außergewöhnlicher Heilkraft" erwarb sich der Honeyman einen guten Ruf als Kenner der Materie. Sein letztes Buch wurde gar als wichtigstes Standardwerk zum Thema Manuka-Honig gepriesen. Nun hat er einen handlichen Ratgeber zu diesem neuseeländischen Honigjuwel nachgelegt.
