Interest and inquires regarding the use of offshore oil and gas platforms for mariculture purposes have increased significantly in the last five years. Hence, in response to our customers, Minerals Management Service has been informed investigations into the legal and technical aspects of using active or obsolete petroleum structures for open ocean fish culture.
