Material Flows with Nexus of Regional Socioeconomic System: Industrial Ecology and Environmental Management, cartea 3

Autor Huijun Wu
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 25 apr 2024
This book introduces and integrates material flows with their nexuses in the regional socioeconomic system, to explore the environmental impacts of the system. Currently, many related studies conducted on global and country levels focus on the direct material flows including material inputs and outputs of the socioeconomic system. While they seldom consider the indirect flows derived from the nexus relationships among these materials, especially on the regional levels.

This book concerns the regional differences and highlights the integration of material flows as well as their nexuses in the regional socioeconomic system. It tries to systematically analyze the environmental impacts of the system, clearly explain the relationship between socioeconomic system and natural environment, and provide the reference to achieve the sustainable development for different regions.

Notă biografică

Dr. Huijun Wu is currently a doctoral supervisor and the professor at Anhui University of Science and Technology. She received her Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University in 2012. Her research interests are mainly concentrated in industrial ecology, including substance flow analysis, life cycle assessment, food system management, and climate change policy. In the later 10 years, she and her research team have studied life cycle phosphorus use-efficiency of food system, energy use and greenhouse gas emissions of agricultural production, nutrient-derived environmental impacts of food system, as well as water-land-energy-land nexuses in agricultural production and coal supply chain. So far, she has published over 50 academic papers and 3 monographs. She is also the academic leader of several national and provincial research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, Anhui Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Natural Science Foundation of Departmentof Education of Anhui Province, and International Exchange Program of Department of Education of Anhui Province. Now, she serves as the associate editor of the journal ‘Environment, Development and Sustainability’ belonging to Springer, as well as the editorial board member of the journal ‘Ecological Economy (Chinese Edition)’. She also serves as the referee of many journals.
