Notă biografică

Janice Petty Wall was born in Oklahoma but claims Colorado as her home state, having moved there in elementary years. She worked 17 years as teacher and administrator in public and private education. She then worked at Federal Express in Memphis. She and her husband, Glenn, purchased and operated a Bed and Breakfast in Jackson, TN, until retirement in 2000. Glenn and Janice loved to travel, even completing a trip around the globe, crossing the equator twice and visiting many countries. They now live in Kirby Pines Retirement Community in Memphis. Glenn is in the memory-care wing, while Janice enjoys her apartment in independent living and is active with friends in the area. Matters of the Heart shares thoughts Janice wrote as editor of a monthly Senior Adult Ministry newsletter at White Station Church of Christ in Memphis during 2015-19. She finds humor, comfort, encouragement, and faith in life experiences shared by all. But the heart of the book is her thanks to friends and family who have helped her get through the difficult journey of sadness and loss that Alzheimer's disease brings. Life must be shared, and it is made easier by friendships along the way.
