At KU between 1968 and 1990, Marlene Mawson was coordinator of the undergraduate and graduate programs and assistant chair in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. She is professor emerita and was chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Illinois State University from 1990 to 2000.
