WHY ANOTHER BOOK? Modern society, and modern media is completely infused with meaningless communication that removes any depth of importance. If we allow it, our thoughts will be corrupted with worthless ideas, and unedited opinions, all of which are fighting for our uninterrupted focus and attention. They are vying for our time, energy, belief, and response. They are trying to influence us. This oversaturation of information creates a reality that life begins to lose its meaning and we suddenly lose discernment of what is valuable. With regard for this new reality, I must ask: Do we really need another book? No. Instead, we need a book that captivates us to escape the disorienting, constant noise of our society so that we might be able to discern what is good, what is noble, what is virtuous, and what is true. If we were to find such a book, we may be able to find ourselves in a place where we have something of merit to say and something valuable to give to another. Instead of being influenced by the blasphemous culture that surrounds us, we might be able to demonstrate positive influence in the face of such adversity. This is the aim of the book you have in your hands. WHY INFLUENCE? Influence impacts every person on this planet. No matter who you are or what you do, you are trying to influence someone or something. It doesn't matter whether you see yourself as an influencer or not, your ability or inability to influence yourself and influence others will affect every area of your life. It will also, in many ways, determine how much you are able to positively impact people. We, as influencers, are not just teaching the techniques of leading and selling. We are teaching the techniques of a new and better way of life. We are teaching people how to care, how to love, and how to have better relationships. We are helping people open the doors to more friendships, more self-confidence, more courage, and more freedom. Being an influencer, when done properly, is the most noble of work. No other work yields the deep rewards that come from helping people be their best.
