Maxzyne Meets the Mannequins

en Limba Engleză Paperback – vârsta de la 8 până la 12 ani
When a homeless woman gives Maxzyne a painting of a French poodle like the one in a storefront display, Maxzyne finds herself at the center of a rescue mission when a wayward freight elevator, a family of enchanted vintage mannequins, and a secret tunnel propel her into the mysterious depths of a historic Chicago department store. Can she convince the ghastly Gigi not to use the mannequins' heads in her art exhibit before it's too late? It's a race against the clock for Maxzyne and her new mannequin sidekick Elise. However, Maxzyne's overactive imagination and tendency to get distracted won't save the mannequin family. First, she must learn some lessons about loyalty, bravery, generosity, and, most of all, that being responsible for your actions is the first step toward growing up. A spirited, fun adventure story, "Maxzyne Meets the Mannequins" will be a delightful read for children of all ages.

Notă biografică

Caroline Lee graduated from the Oldrey-Fleming School of Speech Therapy, London, England in 1968. Over her long career she worked with children in public health, school boards and private practice. Following retirement from practice in 2011, Caroline wrote that book! Targeting Language Delays was the Gold Winner in the Education Category in the Indiefab awards for 2014 from Foreword Magazine. Caroline was recognized by Autism Parenting Magazine as one of the top ten writers who contributed to the magazine during 2014. Caroline lives in Deep River, Ontario, and enjoys walking, kayaking, reading and exploring fibre art.
