Notă biografică
Nicknamed Christeen, Sandra White-Browne is a Licensed Practical Nurse and is the author behind Sandi White. She is a Resident Service Supervisor at the, memory care, assisted living facility where she works. She loves teaching, learning, reading, writing, laughing and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her son Marlon was home schooled by her from first to fifth grade. He is now in college. Sandra holds a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management and is pursuing her master's degree in Health Professions Education, both, at Excelsior College. She is also a self-published author, with Xlibris Publishing, of a children's book named "Playing with Rain" written in English, Spanish, and Chinese. The book was translated by Sandra and tells a story about one of her childhood pass time. It was written for her daughter Nyda when she was 8 years old. Although Sandra's stories are fiction, they center around real events in her life. This story, The Mermaid Daughter, was inspired by a dream she woke up in the middle of and started writing immediately. She was born on the beautiful island of Montserrat, British West Indies, A.K.A. the "Emerald Isle of the Caribbean". Her family moved to the United States Virgin Islands, A.K.A. the "American Paradise", when she was a little girl and has been a U.S. citizen since then. Sandra grew up on the beautiful island of St. Croix, the largest of the four islands that make up the U.S.V.I. She is the oldest of seven sisters and five brothers. She was married when she relocated to New Jersey with her first three children, Myron Allen, Nyda Krysteen Thompkins-Bailey, and Marlon Browne, II. She had two more children in N.J., Me-Shell J'Nya-Raven Browne and Malakhai Browne. Her second daughter, Me-Shell, passed away at birth. Sandra still resides in New Jersey and has six wonderful grandchildren by Myron and Nyda.
