Meditational Self-Care is a skill and practice that loosens the grip of personal unhappiness, no matter what your situation or history is. It dissolves personal unhappiness and transforms it into a deeply felt lightheartedness and love of existence. It joins modern Western psychology and philosophy with the ancient tradition of meditation practices. It is a practice more than a theory, even though it revolves around a core of fundamental ideas. The book describes the core of eight meditational self-care practices and the fundamental and liberating views on which they are based. The practices make these liberating views into directly experienced realities. In turn, the views guide the practices.
