Notă biografică

SERGIO CARRO MARTIN Sergio Carro Martin completed his studies in Arabic Studies at the University of Salamanca in 2007. In 2011, he also completed a Master in Contemporary Arab and Islamic Studies at the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid. He has studied in centers of Sana'a and Cairo as scholarship holder of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). He worked in the research group Manuscript Heritage and History of Texts (CSIC-CCHS) and since 2011 he participates in the DVCTVS Project, managing the databases of the different papyrological collections and mummy labels (MLDatabase). ARTURO ECHAVARREN Arturo Echavarren, Graduate in Spanish Philology (1998) and Classical Philology (2000), has a PhD in Classical Philology (2005). Since 2010 he is a post-doctoral researcher at the Spanish National Research Centre (CSIC). He has previously worked at the Universidad de Navarra (1999-2005), the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2006-2008) and the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (2010). His major lines of research are Roman Onomastics and Spanish Golden Age Literature. ESTHER FERNANDEZ MEDINA Esther Fernandez Medina is a PhD candidate at CCHS-CSIC (Center for the Humanities and Social Sciences - Spanish National Research Council) in Madrid. Her research deals with the magical practices of Moriscos and old Christians in Early Modern Spanish period. That dissertation is being carried out within the research group "East in West," which also includes Bizantinistic, Hebrew and Arabic studies. DANIEL RIANO RUFILANCHAS Daniel Riano Rufilanchas wrote his dissertation on the Case System of Ancient Greek (5th century bC- 2nd century AD) at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His research focus is cognitive syntax, computer linguistics and stylistics applied to (mainly) Greek corpora. He worked wor severl years in the monumental Diccionario Griego Espanol, and has published on Greek Syntax, Greek literature, Greek epigraphy, Greek textual criticism and Computers and linguistics. He is currently working at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in the syntax and style of Philodemus. JESUS TELLEZ RUBIO Jesus Tellez Rubio completed his degree (current M.A.) in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2001, followed by an M.A. in the year 2002 on Teaching the Spanish Language to Foreigners in the same university. In 2007 his dissertation topic (M.Phil.) was on Andalusi and Maghrebi Calligraphy. He has studied different courses on Arabic language and culture in Tunisia and Morocco. From 2009 he is member of the European Research Council project "Knowledge, Heresy and Political Culture in the Islamic West (8th-15th centuries)". KATJA SMID Katja Smid, Teacher of Spanish and University Graduate in Comparative Literature (2002) by University of Ljubljana, MA in Spanish Philology (2005) by Spanish National Research Council and PhD in Linguistics (2010) by University of Ljubljana, is currently (2010-2013) a postdoctoral research fellow at the Spanish National Research Council in Madrid (Spain). Her main field of research is Judeo-Spanish Language and Literature in general and Sephardic Rabbinic Literature in particular. DAVID TOROLLO SANCHEZ David Torollo Sanchez completed his studies in History (2006), Hebrew Studies (2009) and Arabic Studies (2010) at the University of Salamanca, Spain. He has participated in various language courses in Israel and Morocco, attended diverse national and international conferences and seminar related to the subject of Cultural Studies on Christianity, Judaism and Islam in the Middle Ages, which is his main academic focus. Since 2009 he is a PhD student on that field, thanks to a scholarship from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
