Recenzii
Literary historians and linguists interested in the early phases of their craft will not want to miss Baade's well-researched book on Goldast. It makes fascinating reading on such topics as the history of St.Gall, Vadianus, the Codex Manesse, early studies in OHG and MHG, and much more. (George Schulz-Behrend, The University of Texas at Austin) In her biography of Melchior Goldast von Haiminsfeld Dr. Baade provides an excellent picture of one of the early precursors of the 19th century scholars who gave us the basic editions of medieval works that Goldast and his contemporaries uncovered and collected. Her thorough discussion of his two books and their reception is especially valuable. Jh. (Wilhelm Kuehlmann, Germanistik)
