Memoirs of My Life

Autor Suzanne Taylor
en Limba Engleză Paperback
"Memoirs of My Life" weaves the story of Suzanne Taylor's life-recounting the unusual and unexpected path that God set for her. Against the wise advice of her parents, she chose a lifestyle far from their hopes and dreams for her. The emotions and chaos of finding the right path in life are captured in her very personal poetry that explores the author's life. From "Daddy's Little Girl" to "Money, Money, Money, Money," the emotions contained in "Memoirs of My Life" paint a picture of a life fully lived. "The Dream It's a child's wish come true It may be old or new It belongs to the young and bold It's anyone's desire not told It's a hope that will unfold A dream can be of wealth and fame To live in peace having no one know your name Dreams can be of fairy tales come true Of love and romance born anew A dream is an inner thought of deep emotion It will bring happiness serenity and deep devotion Let me have my dreams of everlasting love and life Like a pure white dove in glorious flight Let me fall into sweet slumber and dream all night "

Notă biografică

I've never been the girl next door. I was more the, "I want excitement and adventure girl," and boy, have I had it! At seventeen I won Miss North Kansas City/Miss Kansas City North in the Miss Missouri/Miss World Pageant in 1965 and was honored to win Miss Congeniality. At nineteen, I auditioned and won a place in a ballet company that traveled throughout Europe. I had a successful career in restaurant management, before and after the military. At just under the age of 35, joined the U.S. Navy and was one of the first 50 enlisted women to serve aboard a Navy ship and served honorably as a Radioman for 7 years. Now at 75 and legally blind, I am doing what I love most, writing and taking care of my sweet Beagle, Snoopy.
