 This guidance has been adopted to address the health concerns and issues specific to men.  It primarily is targeted at American veterans and their families.  However, this guidance could also provide health guidance to high school students and above.  Appropriate for primary care physician office guidance, public and academic libraries, including hospitals, especially VA medical hospital centers.

Infection: Don’t Pass It On (IDPIO)is an ongoing public health campaign to include U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs staff, Veterans, their families, and visitors in preventing the transmission of infection.  The campaign develops and distributes education and community materials for the VA community that promote:
  • Hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette
  • Annual seasonal influenza vaccination
  • Correct and appropriate use of personal protective equipment
  • Pandemic influenza preparedness and response
  • Basic public health measures to prevent transmission of infection
