Menopause takes place when a woman permanently stops ovulating and menstruating and can no longer conceive a child. It is generally considered to have occurred one year after the last menstrual period and the normal age range for the occurrence of menopause is somewhere between the age of 45 and 55. After menopause, women are at increased risk of certain health problems which include physical, psychological, vasomotor, urogenital, skeletal and sexual problems. These problems have a long lasting effect on the women and her immediate family. This book deals with the ways and means of dealing with the changes taking place in a woman after menopause, its effects and the coping strategies used thereof.
