Michael Flomen: Photograms and Photographs. 2020–1970
Fotograf Michael Flomen Memorii de Bill Hunt, Seph Rodney, Stuart McLean, Martha Langford, Nadine Faraj, Forrest Gander, Nicolas Mavrikakis, Virginia Heckerten Limba Engleză Hardback – 2 sep 2023
Master printer Michael Flomen brings his darkroom into the environment to create large-scale, avant-garde photograms in confluence with nature. Trading his camera for light-sensitive materials such as photographic paper, he works with water, fireflies, wind, rain, and other natural phenomena to create monumental photograms, revealing things we cannot see with the naked eye.
With images that originate in streets to those forged in the wilderness, this monograph presents 182 images and eight critical essays that trace the evolution of Flomen’s vision. His message is particularly vital today, as we learn to mend our relationship with the environment.

Recenzii
"Michael Flomen is offering a retrospective look at his career, as the reverse-chronological subtitle subtly implies. It came to him because it highlights the fact that this is a 2020 look at half a century of work, and on this point many historians will agree with him."
