"Milford's Grand Adventure" is a delightful children's story about an Arizona desert mouse who grew tired of the desert and traveled to a big city super market. He had great fun until things took a bad turn. Milford began to question leaving home. The author met Milford as she and her husband shopped for groceries late one night in a super market in Parker, Arizona. As they rounded the corner into the cereal aisle a little mouse looked up at them, scurried away, and escaped onto a shelf between some cereal boxes. On the way home Norma thought about all the things that could happen to a mouse in a super market. The next day "Milford's Grand Adventure" was "born."
