Mirage: Web Shifter's Library, cartea 2

Autor Julie E. Czerneda
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 10 aug 2020
The second book in the Web Shifter's Library series returns to the adventures of Esen, a shapeshifting alien who must navigate the perils of a hostile universe. Relationships get complicated when you don't know who--or what--you really are. Esen must find a way to rescue a hapless group of chimeras, beings who are a new and unique blend of species she knows, when she can't become one herself. As she races to save them from persecution by the "still pure," she unwittingly discovers that Evan Gooseberry isn't what he believes himself to be, shattering his self image. Before he can help Esen, he must not only confront her true self, but his own. Meanwhile, Skalet and Lionel, with Lambo, continue the quest to solve the mystery of the Pathfinder, discovering she isn't the first ship to disappear in a certain quadrant of space. When Skalet suspects Kraal involvement, she is forced to question her affiliations, as well as Lionel's place in them. All of which would be enough distraction, but Paul Ragem hopes to rekindle the romance of his first love. A shame Esen hasn't told him who's hiding in their greenhouse.
