Mission of the Unwilling is a character-driven comic Sci-Fi space opera featuring a girl (Minna--reluctant heroine), a boy (the hero in disguise), and an over-sized shape-shifting cockroach alien called Boris. Boris has a need to breed, and spread his seed, and in his greed dominate the universe. When Minna Thumm drives to the beach in search of love, her quest takes her deep into space. There Minna is challenged in the War against Boris. She also faces a personal battle against her arch-enemy, Maggie. Mission of the Unwilling is a sequel to the novella The Hitch-hiker written by Lee-Anne Marie Kling.
