Professor Dr.-Ing. Peter Sommer is the managing partner of Dr. Sommer Werkstofftechnik and teaches as a lecturer at Hochschule Rhein-Waal in the fields of material testing and failure analysis. He has also been teaching the lecture "Der Werkstoff Stahl" at the University of Duisburg-Essen for many years.
