The author with a degree in psychology from the University of Florida and a Masters degree in Education from Fla. Atlantic Univ. has spent many years herself suffering. Nevertheless speaking on behalf of the mentally handicapped, she emphasizes the need for immediate help and research as well as understanding and compassion. She has written this book allowing us a peak at the real people. Some weak, some brilliant some uneducated, helpless and hopeless who kling to life desperately.
