For me, boating has been a lifetime experience. I think of myself at age fourteen, together with my girlfriend, aboard my 12-foot Penguin sailing dinghy, having sailed from Larchmont, New York, across Long Island Sound to Long Island. The wind died, dusk was approaching, and I had no motor, radio, or oars. What to do? More "Voyages of Albatross and Yankee Lady, and Other Stories: A Collection" offers snapshots of my boating life from that early sailing adventure through a trip on a Great Lakes ore boat and, after marriage to Jim, a series of cruises aboard "Yankee Lady" and "Albatross."
