Drescher's paintings and prints have been exhibited at Galerie Mikael Andersen and Printed Matter. His illustrations have appeared on Inlaid Ear and Cultura Collectiva. Joakim Drescher's work was featured in Sketchbooks by Richard Brereton (Laurence King Publishing). Drescher was a resident at the Knust & AGA LAB, a speaker at the 2016 Post Design Festival and a featured guest of the Beast Crawl Literary Festival. He has performed both music and comics at STEIM.
A Royal Pedigree: Joakim is the eldest son of illustrator and best-selling author Henrik Drescher, and artist Lauren Weber - and stepson of artist Wu Wing-yee, and musician Tom Bailey, of the Thompson Twins. Not a bad way to get born, and an even better support system.
