Notă biografică

Brenda Walker was born in Balham, London in 1931 and grew up in Muswell Hill, Walton-on-the-Naze, and Chelmsford, Essex, before and during the Second World War. Leaving school at 14, Brenda worked as a shorthand typist before meeting her future husband Reg and getting married in 1957. Brenda and Reg had four children and they lived in Dorking and Tadworth before emigrating to Perth in Western Australia. The family returned to the UK and lived in Epsom and Ewell where Brenda wrote her poetry. Subsequently, Brenda moved to Horsham in West Sussex where she wrote about her childhood memories growing up in the Second World War in London and Chelmsford. Her memoirs were written in 2011.Brenda's memoir and poetry have been published posthumously.
