The Phenomenon was analyzed by the theories of Culture and Ethics.After analyzing the phenomenon author conclude that Sri Lankan culture is inadequate because of the discrimination based on skin color. Specially for ladies. Colonization is the main reason to believe fair skin is beautiful and superior. And fairness cream sellers sell their product by promising fair skin within few weeks. Their advertising campaigns promote the skin color discrimination. But the effectiveness of the product is questionable. Further it contains harmful chemicals to the skin. But because of the incomplete legal framework multinational companies earning huge amount of profit from Sri Lanka.
