In the fourth installment in the popular hearse mystery series, Libby, a former flame of undertaker-sleuth Hitchock Sewell, has returned to town with her two children, but minus one husband and one nanny. The husband was left behind, but the nanny, Sophie, is missing. As soon as Hitch starts to nose around, Sophie turns up in the Severn River - dead, and just a little pregnant. The police suspect suicide, but Sophie's mother is adamant it's murder. Hitch races around town looking for answers, but finds nothing but questions in this pitch-perfect mystery.
