Fear talks to the narrator to keep her from living her life to the fullest potential and at times paralyzing her. The narrator talks to the Fear, "Please go away and leave me alone " Yet, fear does not listen and dresses up in many forms to keep her scared, feeling alone and unworthy of great things. All the narrator wants is to have peace, feel confident and comfortable in her skin. Why does this fear follow me around, why won't it go away? I don't like you Fear, GO AWAY Hope said, "There has to be another way to live life without fear owning her." Then she remembered her friend, Miss Mae. She used to struggle with the same fear and how it tortured her at one time and made her life small, but not anymore. What did she do to not be so afraid? She knew Miss Mae had the wisdom, grace and tools she needed to not allow the fear to consume her nor be afraid any longer.
