Little Dove is born to receive the spirit of Kendra a bear when he dies. She is trained in the ways of Kendra to be able to supply food for her tribe and the save the environment. But is disowned by the male members of the tribe because they believe she has lied. Little Dove is banished to live on her own by the chief.
