My Dad Was So Mean
Autor Elizabeth Streb Parks Ilustrat de David Phillip Parksen Limba Engleză Hardback
Before kids had cellphones, they had imaginations. Before kids had video games, they had adventures. This is the true story of a family of those kids from "before."
"My Dad Was So Mean" is the true story of one girl's experiences growing up with five feisty brothers in Buffalo, New York, during the early 1950's. Curious, adventurous kids, they drive their father nearly crazy, until one day the girl makes a family-changing discovery.

Notă biografică
Elizabeth Streb Parks has authored three books: "My Dad Was So Mean," and the children's books, "Kevie Keanu's Walk With Nana" and "David's Castle On Crescent Beach," co-authored with her son, David Phillip Parks, who also illustrated her books. Living in several states (Ohio, New York, Arizona, California, Florida and Hawaii) she appreciates the beauty and diversity of the people and places in North America. Early in her career, she was a telephone operator in three states, and owned a bakery in Arizona. After Majoring in Real Estate at a state university, she was a Realtor at two companies in Ohio.
As a life-long learner, she has done television commercials for her local library, since her love of reading started there. (Her picture is on both sides of a large library delivery truck!) When she encountered the two roads diverged in a yellow wood, she didn't take either road, but instead blazed a new trail through the woods and to the beach. Her journey of adventure and serendipity, with her husband, two children and grandson has been a blessing from the universe.
