Brenda Sims shares both the joys and challenges of growing up in a large family of twelve children, with her being the eighth child. Her siblings consisted of three sisters and eight brothers. Oftentimes she found it difficult to find her special place and purpose in life. Her father, being a strict Pentecostal preacher and pastor of a church, believed in raising his children with a rod of iron using strict discipline and hard work. She openly speaks about memories of pain and abuse during her childhood, teenage years, and adulthood, including marriage and divorce, which led her to seek refuge in Jesus Christ at an early age and continue to do so to this day. It is her desire to captivate the audience not only in reading her story, but in believing, trusting, and knowing that Jesus Christ truly is the answer to every problem they may encounter in this life. She has learned to triumph over every obstacle and enjoy a fulfilled life as she daily seeks God in prayer and mediates in His Word.
