Never living a lie again

Autor Robin Prijs Editat de Jane Upchurch McNeill
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 3 aug 2019
This is a true story like you probably haven't heard before. Born and raised in a Christian family, Robin grew up in Church and heard all about the gospel. Yet in his teenage years he decided to start a search into the occult, which eventually would cause him to surrender his life to satan. Caught in a life of lies, destruction and sin, it drove him to the point where he wanted to commit suicide. Until he met Jesus. He decided to turn his life around and started to follow Jesus, but from there the battle was far from over. In this book Robin takes you on a journey through his life, through the good and the bad, while revealing his mistakes and failures, in a way like you seldom see these days. No political correctness, no keeping up appearances, but a real and vulnerable man, facing real battles. From being bullied most of his childhood, to a life of hate and plotting revenge, to following Jesus. From following Jesus to falling back into sins, to getting back up again, to falling back, to getting back up. The battle was enormous and the struggle was immense. While sharing his failures, he also shares about the lessons he has learned from it, which gives you insight in the way the enemy tries to ensnare you and how you can arm yourself against it. Even though he came from a life of being humiliated, being beaten, being spit at, being scammed and being rejected, he choose to live a life of forgiveness and love. As you're about to see, that didn't come easy. In fact, it had nothing to do with the way he felt. There's still a God Who saves, heals, delivers and restores. The Blood of Jesus hasn't lost its power. Freedom is within reach.

Notă biografică

The Dutch author Robin Prijs is mainly known for his extensive research on the topic of anointing and the use of anointing oil in the Church. As it turns out, his work is one of the very few works that gives such a profound and substantiated insight in these matters. Recently he also published his autobiography, describing the shocking events in his life in a very open and vulnerable way. Background Robin was born in the village of Genderen, in the south of The Netherlands. He was born and raised in a Christian family, as the son of a truck driver and a stay at home mom. Education Robin grew up in the land of Heusden & Altena, where he also went to primary school. In his teenage years, he went to secondary school in 's-Hertogenbosch. Although he enjoyed learning, he soon became a victim of bullying and encountered problems with his short-term memory. Convinced that he would not want to learn, he was dismissed by the school and never completed his education. Career After being dismissed from school, Robin was forced to start working. At first he started working as a production employee at an egg packaging company. To him this work was so depressing, that there had to be something he could do to move up in life. Since he was good was computers, he started to apply at several IT companies, but hundreds of applications and several interviews later, he still wasn't hired anywhere. Finally, when he had worked as a production employee for two and half years, he was hired for his first IT job and started as a helpdesk employee. From there he worked his way up to system administrator and jr. technical network engineer at the biggest telecom provider in The Netherlands. Several years later he switched careers, became an IT recruiter and started his own company. Nowadays he is the manager of LoveUnlimited Ministries and no longer has his recruitment company. You can visit the ministry website at love-unlimited.org. Religion Although born and raised in a Christian family, he turned away from the Christian faith during his teenage years and gave his life to satan at the age of 17. Only two years after that he found his way back to Christianity and surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, Whom he has been following ever since. He doesn't consider himself part of any denomination, but comes closest to being a Charismatic Christian. Politics Robin is not affiliated with a political party, but is a fierce opponent of socialism, which he describes as a failing system and one of the biggest dangers for a free civilization and in particular for Christianity and its freedom. He also loves to quote from one of his personal heroes, Mr. Winston Churchill, and finds in particularly his quotes on socialism brilliant, profound and very true. Connections He is married with Esther Prijs-van Wijk. The couple has no children yet.
