This book is about a girl name Vette Banks, she is 15 years old in the tenth grade, with enough credits to graduate high school, and go to law school. She had no choice but to grow up fast, and take care of her brother, Jaheim Banks who is 12 years old. He wanted the street life at a young age, and Vette is doing her best to keep him from that life. Her mother Shelia Banks, didn't care about nothing, but making sure they had a roof over their head. Vette, had no choice but to grow up in become a young adult early and holding on to her dreams she worked so hard to achieve is getting harder because of the life she was given.
