"Not A Bad Life" is a true story of the Earl Dennis Burgess who was born with Cerebral Palsy in a small town in western North Carolina. The book tells how Burgess achieved a good life through the love and support of his parents although not without some emotional pain along the way. The story of his life also illustrate how education played a significant role in helping Burgess to become independent. It is the hope of Burgess that he can help other persons with disabilities to reach their full potential and not be afraid to take risks.
