Here, in coldly detailed print descriptions and diagrams, are the dreaded 'whizz-bangs,' 'Minnies' ( for 'minenwerfer') and other deadly projectiles. Included are manufactuers' marks, Abbreviations used on German ordnance; time and percussion fuses; Naval fuses; and conversion tables between British Imperial and German metric measures. By way of comparison and differentiation there are also briefer descriptions of the shell fuses used by Britain's French and Belgian allies.
