Crystal Spring Gibbins grew up on Lake of the Woods, Minnesota/Ontario. She is the editor of Split Rock Review and the recipient of fellowships from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board. She serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth and lives on the south shore of Lake Superior.
