Obsidian : Lux, cartea 1
Autor Jennifer L. Armentrouten Limba Engleză Paperback – 11 mar 2015

When I've heard everyone making such a big fuss about Lux series, I wasn't convinced I wanted to read them. It happened a lot of times, with a lot of books that were highly recommended, and I didn't enjoyed them. Luckily this wasn't the case. I become addicted to them. There are so many reasons I loved Obsidian, I don't even know where to start! You have Katy, a girl that has recently changed city with her mom, after Katy's dad had died from cancer. She didn't accepted the fact that they had to leave Florida, and move to West Virginia. Katy is a gentle girl, that loves reading and writing in her blog. She is a small addict when it comes to her books, her laptop and her continuously posting on her blog. Apart from all of this, she learned from her dad how to love gardening. The simple way of taking care of plants, relaxing and freeing your mind when you need to take a break. She was the one helping her mom around the house, doing groceries because she had a lot of shifts at the hospital. Katy meets her new neighbors, Daemon and Dee. She becomes friends instantly with Dee. There is so much loyalty between these two. But Daemon she doesn't understand. Why is he so mean to her, and acting like he is talking to an enemy? He acts mean to Katy, and she doesn't even understand it. All of Deamon and Dee's friends, act like she has done something wrong. I know it's an YA, and usually everything it's nice and bubbly. But this story was perfect. I mean, you could feel the connection from the first pages between Katy and Daemon, even if they didn't want to admit it. Obsidian hooked me from the first pages. Jennifer L. Armentrout writing style it's so unique, I'm not sure how to describe it in the right way. You'll have to read the book to see what I’m talking about.I loved the way she described everything. It was like I could feel and see everything, like I was part of the story and I had a backstage seat. I truly recommend it! You can also find the review at: https://thebooktown.wordpress.com/

Descriere
Starting over sucks.
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don’t kill him first, that is.
