Recenzii

"Finally, a book about occupational therapy in the Philippines! This historical book gives a snapshot of our beloved profession. The work does not sugarcoat the challenges this profession faces in a country with limited resources yet shows how Filipino occupational therapists adapt very well amid all odds in changing times. A must read for students, new graduates and seasoned professionals!"
Cristina Ines de Leon Hinlo, OTRP, FOTAP, Owner, Therapy Works, Inc. (Philippines)

"It is a tremendous honour to endorse this groundbreaking book, the first written by and for the Filipino occupational therapy community... The authors sensitively mix local language and culture with professional concepts... encouraging occupational therapists that it is a must to understand and embrace our own backgrounds and values before successfully working with others. By discussing the Filipino context, each chapter calls on us as a profession to be conscious of and committed to transformational change. I would like to thank those involved for their dedication to making this book a reality and congratulate everyone on a remarkable job!"
Samantha Shann, President, World Federation of Occupational Therapists

"Michael, Roi Charles and Caroline, and their intrepid Filipino colleagues have produced such an important work. By taking initiative and leadership to inspire and advance powerful occupational therapy for the Philippines, they have produced an exemplar for how their colleagues from around the World, too, can transform their respective professions into powerfully relevant processes. By producing this magnificent volume of ground-breaking texts, Filipino OTs have contributed to the advancement of occupational therapy worldwide, making this great profession better, for more people."
