Yes! Dallas' first-ever Poet Laureate has a poetry book on the schedule! We are producing this book in conjunction with the Dallas Office of Arts and Culture, as well as the Dallas Library. This title is publishing at the end of a two-year residency Zihuatenejo's held at the library, in which he's been giving readings and workshops for the public. There is therefore a massive amt. of built-in local support in the DFW area. -Zihuatenejo is also the 2008 AND 2009 Individual World Poetry Slam Champion, has been featured on HBO, Ted, Fox, and Univision. He is a big fan of visiting middle and high schools to share workshops/knowledge as well. This is a VERY outward-focused poet with a large fan base across poetry and slam worlds.
