The Armada was turned away, the counter strike decimated, so now the major powers pause to lick their wounds but the fear lingers on. On Hyrax, Prince Brandon, his admiral captured, his flagship lost, cleans house in bloody assassination while his own is neutered by a stealthy removals.
On Enskari, Queen Zabel mourns her lover, the hero and savior of her world, Sir Ethan, exiled for being an upstart, for possessing courage above his class. It was always a matter of time. She is near mad, but must find a way forward, to be true to the only lover she was ever allowed, a planet of souls, frightened in the dark of disaster and drums and approaching hums.
The prophet on Temple, calls for new war as waves of rebellion and unrest sweep across the worlds like a plague of insects. His purgers work double time to root out the heretic, and mass sacrifice in the cause of ideological contagion tests even the most devout followers.
Strangers fight for life on a mad world, echoes and memories of old Earth, signs and portents of those who came before.
The slave planet rebuilds to rearm the Family, centered on Tirgwenin. The gold people are advanced in thought and compassion but woefully behind in the ways of war. Their choices are few and terrible. An ugly plan to buy time as they Saved worlds are slow to throw off their shackles.
And there on Jareth's World, exiled, alone, and isolated, a single young girl connects the threads of being, ties the thoughts of millions and confronts the ultimate price of evolution.
In Book 3 of the Coronam series the homes of humanity shall be remade.
