Long-time Nostalgia Digest contributor, Dan McGuire, was a kid in grammar school during the1940s, the peak years of radio's so-called Golden Age, when radio was a prime source of entertainment for most American families. Afternoons, Dan tuned in many of the serialized kids adventure programs.
