Don Bobbitt introduces a complex character, Bill Black-Feather Hunter, a Navajo Indian who after his exemplary service in the Marines and with the DEA, accepts a job as an Investigator with the Tampa Police Department. He works on an elite team called the Special Investigations Unit. Over time he becomes involved with members of the Colinski family, Annie and her fiance Jake as well as Jane. The father owns one of the largest shipping companies in the Gulf. The story becomes really interesting when an assassin comes to town and begins preparations for a contract Kill.
