1896: Upon leaving the town of Loggerhead behind them, Mary and Abigail continue on their journey home to Greenhaven only to be delayed when they allow themselves to be led by a lost child into the Florida wilderness where a hidden church, which only allows guests entry by special invitation, claims to be home to a ministering angel. At first, Mary wants to press forward with their travel plans, only when she discovers that an acquaintance is donating huge sums of money just for the chance of bearing witness to a divine miracle, she decides to pay up and remain to observe so as to draw her own conclusions. After observing a case of supernatural healing, Mary comes to discover that the angel's keeper is far from the heaven-born saint that he claims to be, and when the man attempts to unleash his own brand of hell on earth, Mary finds herself faced with an evil that can only be felled by One Little Word...
