In 1948 the State of Israel was created by a people who were under the assumption that they descended from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Since then much doubt has been cast over the lineages of these people due to research discovering that they most likely descended from a genetic pool more closely related to Europeans rather than Middle Easterners. It therefore stands to say that the State of Israel has been created under a false pretense and unjustifiable narrative. It is now very necessary for the Disciples of Christ to explore a reset on the true definition of "Israel." A fresh re-reading of the scriptures beginning with Apostle Paul's phrase "the Israel of God" is absolutely required in order to understand the true role of Israel at the end of the age.
