Presents two lectures given as part of the series of Oskar Klein Memorial Lectures: the first by Hans Bethe in October 1990 on the astrophysical importance of neutrinos in supernova outbursts; and the second by Alan H. Guth in June 1991 on his observations on the COBE satellite.
