Our Children and Future

DeBora L'T. Mapp, EdD, is a critical-thinking consultant educator who takes a holistic approach to life. She went through a conscious metamorphosis to serve as a change agent throughout her career in community agencies, public schools and higher education. Dr. Mapp's 5 children earned engineering degrees and are thriving with her 7 grandchildren as living proof that makes sense of her life!

This book is the second book in the SAUCE series that supports people as they begin to Speak and Act on usually Unspoken topics to Challenge previous Expectations. SAUCE brings seldom-discussed yet connected topics to the forefront to gain different perspectives for improved results in whatever is being undertaken. The first book in the series is Our Children and Future: Lessons in Family and School Engagement (2019). From that first holistic book with wide-ranging but connected topics, excerpts were taken to produce two shorter books, Making Sense of Today: How to Connect for a Better Tomorrow and Prepare Our Children for their World: Clues from Birth through Graduation (as a book and spiral bound Companion Journal). Both excerpted and updated books will be available as Large Print books. The fourth book in the series is Efficacy, Engagement and Hope for 21st Century Schools (2021). All books are available in print, e-book and eventually audio versions. Other languages will be considered. More brief books will be added to the SAUCE Series in the future.
