I was abused for over thirteen years. My mother, two sisters, and I ran for our lives on October 15, 2010. Without the grace of God, we would have been already dead. The only way I could express my emotions was through writing. I almost committed suicide on many occasions, but God never left my side and talked me through it. Thank goodness I never did. I am a survivor. In Out of the Depths I Have Risen, I share the hardships I've gone through, and I write in poems what have prodded me to go on living during all those years of abuse.
