After his adventures in Biker and Dead Biker, the first two books of the trilogy, Ned Aiken was set up for a quiet life. After falling into the biker world almost by accident, rising throughout the ranks of a major motorcycle gang and eventually betraying its members to the FBI in return for indemnity and witness protection, Ned chafes at his boring mailroom job and the cheap apartment where the Feds make him life.
