Other chapters cover areas which have developed over more recent years such as type 2 diabetes prevention, the remission of type 2 diabetes, cardio-renal protection, frailty assessment, and multiple long-term conditions, with a comprehensive section on insulin, to include advice on insulin types, devices, and best practice technique. Many chapters include associated case studies to support enhanced learning. Throughout the handbook there is a focus on potential health inequalities, the importance of individualised care, and how underserved communities can best be supported.
