Notă biografică

Illustrators: Roger Garcia is a self-taught freelance illustrator based in Alberta who works in acrylics, ink and digital media. His illustrations have been published in humour books, children's books, newspapers and educational material. Roger also participates with colleagues in art shows, painting murals in schools and public places. Peter Tyler is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School Visual Art and Design, and Classical animation programs. Though his ultimate passion is in filmmaking, he has developed his draftsmanship and storytelling to use those skills in future filmic adventures. Born in France, Patrick Hénaff is a versatile, mostly self-taught artist who has explored a variety of media under many different influences. He now uses primarily pen and ink to draw and then processes the images on computer. Authors: Lisa Wojna, author of more than 30 non-fiction books, has worked in the community newspaper industry as a writer and journalist and has travelled all over Canada, from the windy prairies of Manitoba to northern British Columbia, and even to the wilds of Africa. Gina Spadoni grew up in Washington state and her favorite places were Pike Place Market, full of people, foods, and art, and the library, where she spent many happy hours curled up in a sunny window seat. Her love of words led her to a BA in Journalism from Seattle University and then an MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. Mark Thorburn loves history. He has contributed to history textbooks and references and has written for newspapers across North America. In addition to his writing, Mark is a historian, has practiced law and instructed at the college level. He has a BA in political science, a law degree from Willamette University and two MA degrees, one in American history from Portland State University. Tyler Mudrey has always had an interest in the details that make up the story. He is very interested in the trivia and the place of the Pacific Northwest, and he wants to make sure readers are entertained and informed about the most politically progressive and ecologically diverse of the American regions.
