Originally printed by the clandestine publisher Gargoyle Press in 1931 and translated pseudonymously from a number of works originally published by the notorious Erotic publisher Charles Carrington, "Painful Pleasures" is a fitting homage to those licentious texts which came before. A fine addition to any collection of the once-suppressed.
