Pandora's Box

Autor Kristina Poray-Breistig
en Limba Engleză Paperback
A woman dances in the center of a stage. Her skin is a delicate olive color and her hair, a deep auburn brown. As the music plays on, her long soft curls brush across her back. Dressed as a belly dancer, she spins slowly and seductively, the scarves begin falling to the floor leaving very little else on her body. The only part of her face not covered by a black veil shimmering with gold is her emerald green eyes which are hypnotizing the entire room full of men. All eyes are on her, this 20-year-old goddess in black and gold. She remains unaware of the fact that the majority of men in the club come to see her; that's not why she dances. Dancing is her art, her passion, her lover. When she gets up on stage all else disappears except for the clanking of her finger symbols and the seductive sounds of the Far East. When the music comes to a climactic end, a hush falls over the room. Money is thrown at the stage, blanketing her feet like a carpet of leaves. She makes eye contact with no one and simply glides off stage leaving the bouncers to collect the bills. She calls herself Pandora. After suffering for years at the hands of her pedophilic foster father and his friends, seventeen year old Pandora flees her home and finds sanctuary in a Las Vegas gentlemen's club. There she meets and falls in love with the club's owner, Michael. Before they have the chance to begin a life together, Pandora is kidnapped. Raped and left for dead by the three sadistic men, an angel comes and offers her Heaven. Before she has a chance to answer, The Dark One arrives and offers Pandora what she really desires; vengeance. Pandora's Box is a paranormal love story about one woman's journey through darkness which inevitably leads her to light.
